Hello!
Kathryn Li is a designer and visual storyteller from the yellow hills of San Jose, California. She graduated from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) with a BFA in Illustration and a Concentration in Literary Arts + Studies. Currently, she is a Children’s Design Fellow at Chronicle Books and a 2022 Public Access Design Fellow at the Center for Urban Pedagogy.
Her creative practice, which spans illustration, design, animation, and writing, is driven by a desire to understand the world and imagine more thoughtful ways of being in it. A problem solver fascinated by people, nature, color, and motion, she is influenced by the literature, indie games, music theory, and nerdy humor that she has consumed since childhood.
