Kathryn Li (she/her) is a Chinese American graphic designer, illustrator, and writer. She holds a BFA in Illustration and a Concentration in Literary Arts & Studies from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD).

She is a Designer at G. P. Putnam’s Sons & Nancy Paulsen Books (Penguin Young Readers) and an Artist/Designer at San José Strong. She has also worked with Chronicle Books and Barefoot Books.

Her creative practice is driven by a desire to make sense of the world and imagine more thoughtful ways of being in it. She thinks fondly of the twisty subway lines of Shanghai and the yellow hills of California.
